He smacked me on the shoulder. “Put me down, you big lug.”

I kissed him then set him on his feet. He looked down and his eyes jerked immediately back to my face. “Holy shit. You’re wearing pants.”

“You wouldn’t be just finding that out if you moved in with me.”

“You have that backwards. I think you meant if you moved in with me.”

Ah, the only thing in our relationship we couldn’t agree on was where we should live when we finally moved in together. Nik didn’t want to give up his house. I didn’t blame him. It was a nice house, only the commute after closing the bar wasn’t fun for me. Driving twenty minutes at three a.m. seemed to take forever when you were tired after a busy shift. Especially when you were used to your bed only being a flight of stairs away.

We’d figure it out, though. I had faith in us. Nik and I were meant to be. I didn’t want anyone but him and I never would. He felt the same way. Our living situation would sort itself out when the time came.

Sammy joined us and wrapped her arm around Nik’s waist. She smiled up at him in a way I recognized as Sammy being up to no good. “You guys are so schmoopy. I guess I don’t need to remind you that this is all because of me. If I hadn’t asked for help, you and Jacob wouldn’t be the disgustingly in love couple you are today. Right, Nik?”

“For the last time, Samantha Jane McClane, I am not thanking you. It was about time one of the many schemes you’ve roped me into over the years worked out in my favor. You owed me.” Nik stuck his tongue out at her.

Sammy stuck her nose in the air and sniffed. “Whatever. I know the truth.”

Ethan and the rest of my family joined us and congratulated Nik.

“What do you say, shall we go out and celebrate?” I tugged Nik to my side and whispered in his ear, “Then you and I can have our own private after party.”

“Mmm. I knew there was a reason I loved you. You have awesome ideas and you look sexy as fuck in a kilt.”

Rory and Callum made gagging noises.

  “Uh. Stop,” Liam groaned.

Ethan nodded. “Yes, please stop. Think of the children. So, dinner?”

Nik shook his head and snickered at my brothers’ antics. “If you guys don’t mind waiting about fifteen minutes? The cast are joining me in the morning to strike the set, so all I need to do is make sure they left their costumes, and that everyone is out of the building before I lock up.”

With a last round of hugs my family left to wait for us in the parking lot. I followed behind Nik as he headed toward the door. “Do you mind if I help you lock up?”

Nik gripped the handle, then eyed me up and down before pulling the door open and heading inside. He glanced over his shoulder. “I’m on to you, Jacob Campbell. You just want to get me alone so you can molest me.”

“You aren’t wrong.” I snagged him around the waist and nuzzled his neck. “I really am proud of you, babe. You’re a great teacher.”

“Thank you.” Nik tilted his head, and I gave him a quick peck on the lips, knowing if I allowed my lips to linger, we’d never make it to dinner with my family.

I couldn’t wait to see what the future held for me and Nik. I knew a few things for certain. The next seventy years or so would be filled with love, laughter, and a concert or two.

  About The Author

Independent Author Kasey Belle was born and raised in the South. She currently lives in Sin City (Las Vegas) with her husband. Kasey is a multi-genre romance author. She currently publishes under two pen names Kasey Belle and K.A. Belle.

As KASEY BELLE, I write heterosexual, menage, and bisexual romances (including paranormal, contemporary, military, and erotic).

As K.A. BELLE, I write exclusively gay male romance (including everything from contemporary to paranormal).

She created different names to help readers quickly find the stories that interest them without needing to search through genres that don't tickle their fancy. Regardless of your genre preferences, whether you choose Kasey or K.A., there is only one thing you need to know: Her books are filled with soulmates, unconditional love, family (both blood and chosen), humor, emotion, and always end happily ever after.
